Washington (DC)

I’m travelling again, this time to Washington DC for the Worldwide Partner Conference. I was really afraid of it being super hot, but instead it’s just warm and humid.

Last night we went out to dinner, and when we left the restaurant it was raining big fat raindrops that reminded me of a passage in Romancing Mr Bridgerton (one of my favorite books) where Colin compares the sea to the temperature of a warm bath drawn twenty minutes before.

We had to scramble a little bit before catching a cab, and were thoroughly soaked. I took this picture on the ride home.

Road Trip Day Eight

Saturday morning we enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the hotel and then headed off for San Diego. The drive was unremarkable except for a few traffic jams, but we arrived in good time. The hotel is right on the water and we can walk to SeaWorld or the beach from here.

Road Trip Day Eight

Below are some pictures from our first night; we walked about two minutes to the restaurant and enjoyed a nice meal (unfortunately the meal the next night wasn’t quite as good). Then we walked back to the hotel at sunset. Aaah, vacation.
