Jonah is very into counting and adding and subtracting. He is starting to do simple sums on his fingers and is getting quite good at adding and subtracting up to ten. Owen is trying to keep up, but just isn’t quite there yet. On the other hand, Jonah will count for Owen in French and Owen repeats the numbers in English, or vice versa.

Narrow Escape
Jonah comes downstairs.
“Mama, look at our hair!”
It’s all nice and brushed and I had heard them playing around in the bathroom so I say “Did you get your hair wet and brush it?”
Owen replies, “No, we’re trying to cut it ourselves!”
Jonah adds, “But none of the scissors are working.”
Alas.
